NEW: Pux Cider, Grand Rapids, MI

TagaWine is excited to welcome Pux Cider Taphouse to the TagaWine Trail.  With a variety of ciders, Pux uses apples grown on the family farm along with other Michigan fruits in their artisanal hard ciders.  Visit the Schaefer brothers, Andy and Chris, at the Pux Cider Taphouse on Fuller Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a tasting ... and pick up a four-pack to go!

NEW: 707 Winery, Caledonia, MI

Southwest Michigan's newest winery, 707 Winery and Brewery in Caledonia, Michigan, has only been open a short time, and they've already joined the TagaWine Trail! The wine is flowing in their brand new tasting room, and they are anxious to meet TagaWiners! We have it on good authority that the wine is great and the owners are great people.  Check out the details of the winery on the 707 Winery Facebook page, and make plans to get your TagaWine on! 

NEW:  Distant Whistle Wines, Vicksburg, MI

A local favorite in Vicksburg, Michigan, The Distant Whistle Brewhouse is now crafting Distant Whistle Wines!  It's no secret that The Distant Whistle makes great beers and ciders.  With a continually expanding wine menu, The Distant Whistle will soon be a favorite of wine lovers, too!  Their wines range from sweet white (Moscato) to deep red (Merlot), and we have it on good authority that the wines are really great!  We're excited to welcome Distant Whistle Wines to the TagaWine Trail and add their beautiful bead and fun charm to our TagaWine collection! 

NEW: Bunker's Mill Winery, Cardington, OH

Another great Central Ohio Wine Country winery is on the TagaWine Trail. Bunker's Hill Winery in Cardington, Ohio, boasts a fine selection of locally crafted wines in a friendly, welcoming setting with both indoor and outdoor seating options (they even have a meeting room for community gatherings!).  Winemaker Jerry and Winery Manager Rick are eager to share their delicious wines with you and make you an honorary member of the Cardington community.  Visit the Bunker's Mill website for all of the details about this great TagaWine destination!

NEW: Warner Vineyards Tasting Room, Holland, MI

Nestled in the heart of downtown Holland, MI, Warner Vineyards' Holland Tasting Room is the perfect place to stop for a delicious glass of wine.  Warner's wide array of wines offers something for everyone .... even ice cold wine slushies on hot summer days!  Bill Warner and the gang at Warner's Holland Tasting Room  will greet you with a smile, pour your favorite wines (and even encourage you to try some new ones!), and maybe even send you off with one "to go" as you stroll Downtown Holland's social district.  You will love their dutch-themed windmill bead and tulip charm!

NEW: Carriage House Vineyards, Auburn, KY

Did you know that Kentucky was the first state to have a commercial winery?  The newest winery on the TagaWine Trail, Carriage House Vineyards in Auburn, Kentucky, is continuing the tradition of making Kentucky a great wine destination .... and now a great TagaWine destination!  Located in Central Kentucky, Carriage House Vineyards is Logan County's first and only bonded winery since prohibition.  Owners Don and Lisa, along with their 3 greyhound rescues (which might be a hint to their TagaWine charm) Dottie, JuJu, and Daphy, are looking forward to welcoming you to their winery and sharing their great wines with you!   

NEW:  Stoney Ridge Vineyards & Winery, Kent City, MI

Stoney Ridge Vineyards & Winery is the latest Michigan winery to join the TagaWine Trail.  Located in Kent City, Michigan, less than half an hour from downtown Grand Rapids, the Stoney Ridge Vineyards brings old world wine country to the city.  Owners Mary and Dale Flanery have created a warm and inviting space that is perfect for a wine tasting on the TagaWine Trail or a relaxing afternoon listening to live music (most summer weekends).  Chef Ryan offers wood-fire pizzas and other delicious plates from the newly installed kitchen.   Stoney Ridge Vineyards & Winery is a great gathering place for friends old and new!  

NEW:  Plum Run Winery, Grove City, OH

Plum Run Winery, in the heart of Grove City, Ohio, is the most recent winery to join the TagaWine Trail.  With grapes grown in their vineyard just south of town, the Plum Run Winery wines will find something to love for everyone.  A true local gathering place, Plum Run Winery will very quickly become a sought after TagaWine destination!  Check out www.plumrunwinery.com for a sneak peek at their amazing wine offerings. 

NEW:  FennValley Vineyards Saugatuck Tasting Room, Saugatuck, MI

The same great Fenn Valley wines and ciders you love in the beautiful lakeshore town of Saugatuck, Michigan.  Stroll the streets of Saugatuck and stop in to the Fenn Valley Vineyards Tasting Room for a well-deserved wine break.  The delicious wines will pull you in; the beach-inspired TagaWine will help you remember your visit!  

NEW:  Twine Urban Winery, Kalamazoo, MI

Twine Urban Winery by the Roche' Collection is Kalamazoo's newest winery.  Nicole Triplett, the winery's founder and winemaker has created a classy and inviting space for wine lovers to gather.  In addition to a wide range of wines, Twine Urban Winery offers fun wine cocktails as well as a variety of small plates to enhance your visit.   You can find details on all of their wines and menus by visiting Twine Urban Winery's website at www.therochecollection.com.   We are excited to watch Twine Urban Winery's growth in Kalamazoo, and we look forward to TagaWining there with you!   TagaWine on!

NEW:  Norse Nectar Meadery, Kalamazoo, MI

MEAD REDEFINED.  Norse Nectar Meadery in Kalamazoo, MI, will challenge your vision of a typical mead.  With nearly a dozen meads available with a variety of flavor profiles, Norse Nectar Meadery offers still meads with unique twists.  Check out their daily "meadtails" ~ creative presentations of mead with various mixers ~ for a special taste sensation.  We are excited to partner with Norse Nectar Meadery and can't wait to share their Viking-themed TagaWine with you!  Visit www.norsenectar.com for a complete listing of meads on tap and for the meadery's hours.  Norse Nectar Meadery has BIG things in store for the future and will definitely be a TagaWine destination!

The Central Ohio Wine Country continues to grow as a TagaWine destination with the addition of Shamrock Vineyard to the TagaWineTrail.  Located in Waldo, Ohio, Shamrock Vineyard is a third generation, family-owned winery that specializes in grape table wines.  Winemaker Van and his wife Emily have created a fun and inviting environment where you can enjoy their hand-crafted wines with family and friends and, of course, get your TagaWine!  

COMING SOON: Clearcreek Country Winery, Amanda, OH

The TagaWine Trail continues to grow in the Central Ohio Wine Country!  Clearcreek Country Winery in Amanda, OH offers sweet, semi-sweet, and dry wines that look as good as they taste!  Sit on the porch and enjoy a glass or two of wine as you enjoy the serenity of this beautiful country setting.  

COMING SOON: Boyne Valley Vineyards, Petoskey, MI

Stop in at Boyne Valley Vineyards and enjoy a glass of wine or cider with family and friends.  This barn-inspired tasting room has everything you would expect and more!  With a live music series in the summer months, Boyne Valley Vineyards is the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful afternoon and delicious wines and ciders on their outdoor patio or spacious lawn.  During the colder months, you can enjoy your wine in front of an inviting fire in a cozy lodge-like setting.  We are excited to have another great Petoskey Wine Region winery on the TagaWine Trail!

COMING SOON: Twenty One Barrels Cidery &Winery, Bradford,OH

Opening a new winery during a pandemic is no small feat; the owners of Twenty One Barrels Cidery & Winery in Bradford, Ohio, did just that!  Using estate grown and locally sourced fruit and juice, Shaun and Danielle Pierce have created a variety of award-winning ciders and wines from the get-go.  We are excited to welcome Twenty One Barrels to the TagaWine Trail!

TagaWine is the brass memory tag that wine/mead/cider lovers collect along their wine trails.  

Each brass memory tag comes on a long or short chain along with a bead or charm that uniquely represents the winery you're visiting.  You can start or add to your collection in more than 50 wineries in Michigan, Ohio, New York, and Kentucky,  The TagaWine Trail is growing every day, so check back often!

Amy and Beth have been life friends for over 30 years. We met while teaching together in Battle Creek, Michigan, and have been best friends ever since. After 30+ year teaching careers, we decided to retire in June 2019 and make TagaWine our full-time fun! We hope that you will join us on the TagaWine Trail and make lasting memories with us and all of the TagaWiners we meet along the way.
